Rett Syndrome Update: Evolving Management Strategies – Part 2 (CME/CE Webcast)
Activity Description and Purpose
This educational activity will focus on recognition of Rett syndrome, with a review of the latest guidelines and best practices to implementing the guidelines through a case study. Additionally, a review of recent clinical trial data of newly approved and emerging disorder-specific therapies for Rett syndrome will be provided. The desired results of this activity are to increase the knowledge and competence of neurologists who treat patients with Rett syndrome and nurse practitioners and physician assistants who may work with neurologists who treat/encounter patients with Rett syndrome.
Target Audience
This educational activity is intended for pediatric neurologists, neurologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other clinicians who treat Rett syndrome.
Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, participants will be better able to:
- Summarize the latest guidelines available for Rett syndrome
- Implement guideline-concordant management plans for Rett syndrome that use an integrated multidisciplinary approach
- Review recent clinical trial data for new and emerging disorder-specific therapies for Rett syndrome
