Case Discussions in OAB, BPH, and More: Managing the Complex Patient (CME/CE Monograph)

Activity Description and Purpose

This educational activity provides an in-depth look at managing overactive bladder (OAB), with a focus on treating complex patients. Through expert case discussions, participants will explore evidence-based strategies for OAB treatment, considering the new 2024 American Urological Association/Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine & Urogenital Reconstruction guideline for OAB, and including pharmacotherapy options and their efficacy and safety profiles. The activity highlights important considerations for managing OAB in patients with comorbidities, such as benign prostatic hyperplasia, cognitive impairment, and cardiovascular issues. Clinicians will gain practical insights on individualizing treatment, navigating challenging cases, and improving patient outcomes in OAB management. The desired results of this activity are for clinicians to improve their treatment of OAB in the complex patient.
