Target Audience
This educational activity is intended for pharmacists, nurses, and dietitians engaged in the care of adult and pediatric home-based patients requiring parenteral nutrition.
Learning Objectives
After completing this activity, participants will be better able to:
- Select the appropriate dose of various intravenous lipid emulsions to prevent essential
fatty acid deficiency in adult and pediatric home-based patients - Demonstrate appropriate management of intravenous lipid emulsions in adult home-based patients
- Identify appropriate solutions using newer intravenous lipid emulsions that ensure stability and compatibility
